Nichana Miller Chosen as Speaker at 2018 TEDx Youth Grand Bahama

For the second year in a row, a LIS student was chosen to speak at the TEDx Youth Grand Bahama event.  On Tuesday, January 30th, Nichana will speak to a packed house at Regency Theater.  This year it will be an all student guest speaker event and they will speak on topics that show how our youth is the future of Grand Bahama.  We are so proud of Nichana representing our school at this event.

Nichana's Biography: 
Nichana Miller is a senior at Lucaya International School. She participates in a number of activities where she has held leadership positions and/or received awards including: Most Outstanding 9th Grader, Twenty Pearls Honor award, National Youth Month Honorable Mention award, Global Citizens Model United Nations Conference Second Place, essay competition, Girl Con 2017 Treasurer, Interact Club VP of Finance and VP of Marketing, Junior Achievement She has also represented her school in Model United Nations (UN) conferences in Toronto and New York City. She plans to study communications at a university in South Florida in Fall 2018.
